I brainstorm with a number of companies
\non a daily basis regarding their fraud prevention and compliance needs.<\/span>What I encounter time and time again is
\nthat companies are using an antiquated identity verification and authentication
\nprocess that is providing less than favorable results.<\/span>For example, there are several companies
\nin e-commerce that require consumers to scan and submit a copy of their <\/span>drivers license<\/span><\/a> before allowing
\nthe consumer to complete his or her purchase.<\/span>In many cases, this is due to the companys compliance
\nrequirements with Know Your Customer legislation, or they are looking to <\/span>prevent fraud<\/span><\/a> by
\ntrying to authenticate that Jane Doe really is Jane Doe.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Through this process, the company
\ntypically loses money in a few different ways.<\/span>One example is that the company requires more man hours to
\nfight through the manual review process.<\/span>At the same time, many customers are frustrated by the hassle and
\nlengthy process and decide to move their business elsewhere.<\/span>While this fraud prevention system can
\nbe beneficial in mitigating fraud, it doesnt mean that the license provided
\nbelongs to them. There is a better way.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ill be the first to say that no
\nsolution is perfect.<\/span>There are
\ninstances when manual review is necessary, but having the right <\/span>fraud prevention systems<\/span><\/a>
\nin place on the front end can help to eliminate headaches and protect the
\ncompanys bottom line.<\/span>Several
\ncompanies have chosen to implement a real-time solution with identity
\nverification and authentication through <\/span>Knowledge Based Authentication questions<\/span><\/a>.<\/span>The result
\nhas provided them with a fraud mitigation and compliance service that provides the
\ncompany with more time and more profitability.<\/span><\/p>\n
