In fact, weve tweaked our marketing efforts&#13;<br \/>\nto reach both audiences because we often find people looking to validate a&#13;<br \/>\nphysical drivers license (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.electronicverificationsystems.com\/products\/driver-license-verification.aspx\"><em>ID Verification<\/em><\/a><em>) <\/em>are really looking to validate a customers identity (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.electronicverificationsystems.com\/solutions\/identifraud\/\"><em>Identity Verification<\/em><\/a>).<span> <\/span>With Identity Verification our job is ensuring&#13;<br \/>\nthe end customer is who they claim to be.<span>&#13;<br \/>\n<\/span>In an online transaction our solution is all thats needed.<span> <\/span>The point of sale in a brick and mortar&#13;<br \/>\nestablishment is another story.<span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--StartFragment--><\/p>\n<p><em>ID Verification<\/em> is&#13;<br \/>\na tricky endeavor and can be pricey.<span>&#13;<br \/>\n<\/span>Fake documents are produced around the world and VERY difficult to&#13;<br \/>\ndetect.<span> <\/span>Taking away the responsibility&#13;<br \/>\nof deciding fake or real ID from a clerk (or server, or customer service rep,&#13;<br \/>\nor bouncer, etc.) is key to limiting liability.<span>&#13;<br \/>\n<\/span>The best fake IDs I saw in college were either using someone elses&#13;<br \/>\ndocuments to obtain a legal ID or fudging the birthday on a real ID.<span> <\/span>Ensuring the document is a legitimate, state&#13;<br \/>\nissued ID is only the first step.<span>&#13;<br \/>\n<\/span>Completing the verification process requires: <span><\/span>1) the person on the ID is present, and 2) the&#13;<br \/>\nreal age of the person on the license is valid (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.electronicverificationsystems.com\/products\/knowledge-based-authentication.aspx\"><em>Authentication<\/em><\/a>).<span> <\/span>Identity Verification coupled with ID&#13;<br \/>\nVerification is near foolproof.<span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Good things are working at EVS.<span><\/span>Stay&#13;<br \/>\ntuned!<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><span>[Contributed&#13;<br \/>\nby Jeff Davis, President &amp; CEO]<\/span><!--EndFragment--><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When it comes to verification, most of our clients use the terms ID and Identity synonymously.
