Through<br \/>\nthis position, Mark Weatherford, will allow the Department of Homeland Security<br \/>\nto better carry out <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electronicverificationsystems.com\/\" title=\"fraudprevention solutions\">fraud prevention solutions<\/a> and their mission to create a safe, secure and<br \/>\nresilient cyberspace.<\/p>\n<p>According to the release, Weatherford has an extensive<br \/>\nbackground in cybersecurity, information security, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electronicverificationsystems.com\/solutions\/\">identity<br \/>\nauthentication<\/a>, and led the Navys Computer Network Defense operations and<br \/>\nthe Naval Computer Incident Response Team.<\/p>\n<p>Weatherford will start in mid-November.<\/p>\n<p>Greg Schaffer, who has served as the Acting Deputy Under<br \/>\nSecretary for Cybersecurity for the past five months helped to build the<br \/>\nDepartment of Homeland Securitys cybersecurity capabilities and strengthen<br \/>\ntheir partnerships with the private security.
