It all depends on the crisis communications plan the company has<br \/>\nin place, and how well they execute it. Smaller companies, like DigiNotar, didnt<br \/>\nrelease all of the details about being hacked, and failed to win the publics<br \/>\ntrust.<\/p>\n<p>However, when a company is hacked and provides information<br \/>\nto their customers as quickly and as clearly as possible, many times there is a<br \/>\nminimal consequence. Take Sony for example. I followed their communication to<br \/>\ntheir consumers, and they were transparent on what happened, when it happened,<br \/>\nwhat precautions to take, and provided information to the three credit<br \/>\nreporting agencies.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.electronicverificationsystems.com\/\">Fraud<br \/>\nprevention systems<\/a> are the best way to combat ever having to face being<br \/>\nhacked.
