Louisville, KY- (10\/30\/15) Electronic Verification Systems (EVS)<\/a> is announcing its new partnership with Monster Vape<\/a>, which started in September 2015. Monster Vape is an e-liquid manufacturer and vaping supplies company with both online and retail store operations. Monster Vape is incorporating EVS’ IdentiFraud Consumer solution into their procedures for online orders to ensure that their customers are of legal age and are who they claim to be. <\/p>\n

Age verification<\/a> is imperative for all online sales in Texas due to the recent passage of Texas Law SB97. States including Texas and Massachusetts have already passed regulations to assure that electronic cigarette\/vaping\/tobacco retailers perform true age verification and prevent minors from purchasing their products.   <\/p>\n

“It’s fair to say that there has been a learning curve on both sides, which I have particularly enjoyed,” Eric Knapp, EVP of Client Development, said. “This only helps the client to better utilize EVS products and on the flip-side helps EVS to better understand the challenges the client may face so we can better serve them.”   <\/p>\n

Monster Vape has been proactive to be in compliance and strives to provide the highest level of controls when it comes to age verification. They have done so by already implementing age verification in retail stores for all of its customers regardless of state laws. Now that online sales are required to follow suit, EVS has been called upon to help Monster Vape comply with existing law. The tobacco industry has proved in the past that doing the ‘bare minimum’ to remain compliant is not the most appropriate action.   <\/p>\n

That is why Monster Vape and EVS will work together to keep this part of tobacco business compliant and prepared for the future.
